what are the least expensive cruise destinations?

searching cruises for the first time and im all flusterd. we are not so concerne about destination (prefer caribbean or mexico) or dates. and there is so much to choose from. is there a time of year or destination that is less expensive than other. im tired of searching…please help. thanks.

For people on the west coast, Mexico is the cheapest cruise. On the East Coast, the Bahamas and in the south, the Caribbean. All because of the cost of air fare. Because your talking about your first cruise, please go to a regular travel agent in your home town. It can be overwhelming and confusing. Fact is, I still prefer using a regular travel agent over booking any other way. Also a travel agent will not charge you for any services. They work on commission only. Plus I have found they get you the best deals.

One note that will help;Major cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Celebrity, and Norwegian Cruise lines do not allow discounted prices to appear in advertising or public forums like the internet. What that means is you can sometimes get better deals on your cruise when you actually call an agent versus book online.

You asked. The cheapest cruises would be the Caribbean during hurricane season. I asked this on our first cruise and they told me that they cruise the Caribbean 356 days a year.

Also if you are not concerned about dates then the fall in the Caribbean will be some of the least expensive cruises. Also to cut down on costs depending on where you live there are many ports you can drive to. For example I am in the mid west and can easily drive in one day to Galveston or New Orleans and take a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise. That can cut down on expenses for flying.

I am biased but I second calling an independent qualified cruise specialist (not a big call center or the cruise lines directly). Actually talk with someone who is an expert in cruising. They can give you personalized service and recommendations with no extra cost. They will match the right cruise at the right price point. It cost you nothing extra and they will handle all the details.

    Good Luck!
