Has anyone taken this ship? It’s 4 nights out of Tampa to Cozumel. We’ve never cruised so any tips would be great. We did pre-paid gratuities and I know I need to bring a hair dryer. Any tips on good Shore Excursions and where it’s cheapest or best to buy? Helpful things to bring or not bring would be appreciated!
I went on the Glory this Jan. Cozumel was our fav port out of Belize (it sucked), Nassu, and Coasta Maya (we like that too) I went on the clear kayack and snorkel shore excursion. we saw many coral and fish. bring a camera……prob. a disposable 1. Bring a towel because if you lose 1 the Carnival one it $22. You don’t have to bring cash except for island becasue you use your sail and sign card. Don’t bring a laptop because you still have to pay. That’s bout it. o and have fun!!
Ive been to Cozumel at least 8 times on cruises.
One time i did an Adventure Park, it was very fun for me, at age 12. If your good at rock climbing, and have lots of energy you would like it. You also get to snorkel.
Another tour, i cant remember the name, but it was at a resort hotel. It included: a great lunch, snorkel, pool, ocean, hammocks, gym, ect. Basically anything in there resort area. It may have been a Sandals, but i don’t think it was.
The last tour id suggest, is the combo package of: shopping, a turtle farm, and a trip to the great Post Office from Hell. Lots of fun, and good for family’s with small children considering its a short tour.
You dont need a hair dryer, there in each bathroom on the ship.
If you drink sodas, i would bring 1 12 can pack of soda per person, if you want to save money. They provide soda cards for about 6$ a day for adults, and 4$ a day for children. One glass of soda is a bout 1.5$
MAKE SURE:
– 2 pairs of comfy shoes, flip flops. (in case one breaks)
– camera
– drivers license
– passport/birth certificate
– 1 Swimsuit should be good for a 4 day.
– Enough clothes for 4 days.
– Fancy night attire, (dress, pants suit)
Anyone more questions feel free to email me.
Have fun on your cruise!
Bon Voyage’

OMG!! Woo hoo! Carnival Inspiration was a first cruise for me & my husband October 2008. We went on a 5 day cruise from Tampa to Grand Cayman to Cozumel.
It was a GREAT experience!
If you’re not from the Tampa area or within an hour’s drive of Tampa, consider staying at a hotel the night before and paying the hotel shuttle to take you to the terminal.
Get to the ship early. They might say boarding starts at 12:30 or 1:00 pm but we were able to get on before that. They had a good day and were able to start boarding early.
Pay the ship porters a tip to take your baggage to your cabin so you can go enjoy yourself on the ship. Take minimal stuff with you, go tour the ship and eat lunch. By the time you’re finished, your room should be ready.
Book your excursions AFTER you get on the ship.
There is soooo much to tell you.
